The Juicy Offer

She is just a beautiful girl…

Tracy is beautiful and tall with curves in the right places. She is the kind of girl who has been abundantly blessed by God when He was creating her, so she doesn’t need to spend millions of naira on surgeries to make heads turn wherever she goes.

Tracy is in her mid-twenties, and for a while now, she hasn’t had a job, but she is constantly being taken care of, and all her needs are met because her beauty keeps throwing generous men her way.

Some weeks ago, Tracy went to a restaurant with her friend to get something to eat. While they were there, a man, probably in his mid or late forties, walked into the restaurant with a younger lady. From all indications, it was easy to tell that they were lovers.

We will call the man Mr. Spender.

The moment Mr. Spender’s eyes landed on Tracy, he was hooked. It didn’t matter that he was with another woman, and, as an audacious man who always went after what he wanted, he quickly handed one of the waitresses a piece of paper and asked her to give it to Tracy to write down her phone number.

Tracy was hesitant.

How could a man who came in with another woman be requesting her number without respect for the woman he is with? Tracy didn’t feel the need to write down her number, but her friend encouraged her to.

“It doesn’t matter, and besides, you don’t know where and when you can meet your helper,” her friend encouraged her.

Tracy eventually wrote her phone number on the piece of paper. After writing her phone number, she wrote something else.

“I know that you are with your girlfriend, so don’t expect me to take you seriously.”

She gave the waitress the piece of paper and left the restaurant with her friend.

After that day, she got a call from Mr. Spender. He vowed that he hadn’t done something like that in his entire life before; asking a random girl for her phone number and Tracy was forced to believe him. When she brought up the woman he was with at the restaurant, Mr. Spender didn’t deny her.

He confidently told Tracy that they were together, but she was just his “side chic.”

Mr. Spender went further to tell Tracy about the kind of man he was. He wasn’t a young man in his early or mid-thirties, so she definitely didn’t assume that he wouldn’t be married. Mr. Spender told Tracy that he was married, and of course, had a mistress by the side, but that didn’t stop him from going for what he liked or wanted. Besides, he is very wealthy and can comfortably afford any woman he wants.

Mr. Spender was so wealthy that he moved around with a convoy and a retinue of security.

To prove that he wasn’t just throwing words around, he asked for Tracy’s account details, and in the blink of an eye, she received an alert of two hundred thousand naira. That was enough for Tracy to give him more attention and listen to what he had to say.

Mr. Spender is a man of more action than words, so he didn’t spend days trying to convince Tracy to agree to be with him. Also, he has business and family to attend to. Instead, he asked to have a lunch date with Tracy.

Tracy picked a spot that she was comfortable with, but when Mr. Spender arrived with his convoy, he was instantly displeased and disappointed.

“Why will you bring me to a place like this?” He asked Tracy. “You don’t seem to know the kind of man I am. This place is not befitting of my class and status, and I am embarrassed to be here,” he added.

Tracy apologized, and then Mr. Spender took her in his car, and they went from one fancy restaurant to another. It was as though that day was dedicated to touring the beautiful city of Abuja and exploring all the exotic restaurants. Mr. Spender didn’t spare a dime. He was generously buying whatever Tracy wanted. When they were both satisfied, she returned to her rented apartment.

The following week, Mr. Spender demanded to see Tracy again. This time around, he asked her to come to a hotel where he was lodged. Tracy was skeptical about it, and she tried to lie her way out of it by saying that she was on her period, but Mr. Spender wouldn’t take no for an answer.

“I didn’t say I wanted anything sexual with you. I just want a companion right now, and that’s all,” he told her.

Eventually, Tracy went to the hotel to meet him.

Mr. Spender ordered anything and everything Tracy wanted, and she ended up spending three days in the hotel with Mr. Spender, although he would leave for some hours to attend to family and business, and then return to her at whatever time was convenient for him, but she never lacked anything, and it was a grand hotel.

Then Mr. Spender laid out his demands to Tracy.

It was obvious he wanted a relationship with her; he had been clear about that from the beginning, but then he had rules: if they were to ever get into a relationship, Mr. Spender didn’t want Tracy to see another man. It would have to be him alone. She MUST be faithful to just him because they would be having unprotected sex from time to time, and he didn’t want to contract any kind of disease for himself and his family.

He went on to tell Tracy that his “side chic;” the one she had seen him with, has been in a faithful relationship with him for two years now.

Mr. Spender wasn’t the kind of man a woman could toy with. Being in a relationship with him meant that she would be constantly monitored to be sure that she was being loyal and faithful to him, but the best part of it was the advantages of being with him.

Mr. Spender told Tracy all he had done for his “side chic” since they started seeing each other two years ago. He got her wretched family a house, ensured that she never lacked anything, took her to China for the skincare business that she wanted to go into, and right after, he flew her to Qatar for a short vacation before they returned to Nigeria. And now, he was making travel plans to fly her to Turkey soon.

Tracy was thrilled.

She knew that chances of meeting a single man in his early thirties who would do all that for her were slim or even nonexistent. The thought of being elevated by this man was enticing to Tracy.

To even butter the offer, Mr. Spender asked Tracy to find a house in an estate, and he would pay for the rent because he didn’t like the “local” place where she had rented her one-room apartment. No lover of his would ever live in a place like that or even a one-room apartment.

Bear in mind that this current one-room apartment, which was disgusting to Mr. Spender, was rented for her by an ex-lover of hers.

Tracy didn’t hesitate to contact house agents that she knew for houses in estates available for rent; who would want to miss out on such a golden opportunity? Of course, Tracy had met men in Abuja who had been taking care of her needs, especially as she didn’t have a job, but none of them came close to Mr. Spender and his offer.

When her stay was over, he gave her another two hundred thousand naira just for her upkeep.

But one thing was missing; Mr. Spender didn’t spare time to spend with his lovers.

Tracy noticed that he barely talked to her unless he wanted her. A man who claimed to want a woman should be able to shower her with attention through calls and texts, but that wasn’t the case with Mr. Spender, and Tracy didn’t operate like that in her relationships. She wanted the money, and she also wanted the attention. When she complained to him about his lack of attention, Mr. Spender was quick to forward numerous unanswered messages from his first “side chic.”

“Good morning, my king…my love, how are you…”

There were many of the unanswered messages, lengthy ones too, that he hadn’t responded to, so Tracy would have to understand that she wouldn’t be treated differently, and of course, adjust. The most important thing was the lavish living and the exotic lifestyle he would provide for her, and if she was lucky, her family as well.

A few days ago, Tracy said that she wanted to go and get her hair done. Without wasting time, Mr. Spender sent her another two hundred thousand naira, but Tracy wasn’t satisfied. She immediately told him via WhatsApp chat that it wouldn’t be enough for her, and it would be better if he added a hundred thousand to it. Tracy instantly felt ungrateful after sending that message, and so she quickly edited it and typed “Thank you” instead, but Mr. Spender had seen the message already. On her way to the salon, she got a hundred thousand naira alert. He told Tracy that the money was “chicken change” to him, and so he didn’t mind topping it up.

Anyway, Tracy is still in a little bit of a dilemma.

She wanted the money and the lifestyle and being with Mr. Spender was a complete upgrade from the life she has always known; she could already see herself flying in and out of Nigeria, and of course, living in a better house, but then again, staying faithful to a married man sounded ridiculous to Tracy, especially as she wouldn’t even be able to see other men discreetly, and it was even worse knowing that she wouldn’t be getting a lover’s attention from him.

Tracy has found an apartment worth more than three million naira in the city of Abuja, and Mr. Spender, just as he promised her, is willing to pay the rent as soon as she is ready to move in.

Should she take this once-in-a-lifetime juicy offer and enjoy it for as long as Mr. Spender wanted her, or forfeit it and continue “managing” the “little” her other toasters have to offer?
