Chronicles of a Lover Boy 8

Season Two

Episode Two…

Adams and Agatha began to date, even though that was the last thing Adams wanted. This was his second relationship, and Adams was still a novice, or so we think. Agatha was only his girlfriend in words, as Adams did not make any attempt to show it in actions.

Just like most girls in a relationship, Agatha expected a lot from her boyfriend, like holding of hands, a little touching here and there…just something to make her feel like she was in a relationship, but Adams was not forthcoming with any of those. At this point, it was hard to tell if Adams was just being a novice or he wasn’t entirely interested in, or attracted to Agatha.

As we recall, he did not even want to be in a relationship with her in the first place.

Anyway, Agatha played the role of an understanding girlfriend as she patiently waited for Adams to come around. While she waited for him to come around, Agatha treated Adams like a prince. On Valentine’s Day, she got him a gift; Adams’s first gift from a girl ever, and a couple of other gifts afterwards. Adams also received his first handwritten love letter from Agatha. Meanwhile, Adams did not take any of her romantic gestures seriously; his heart was still sore, and he was consciously trying to avoid being heartbroken a second time.

So it was safe to say that Agatha was a hopeless romantic, and she did not hold back from showing off her love languages even though she was not getting that exact energy in return.

Then Adams attended a Christmas carol service with a friend of his, and while other worshippers were focused on the reason they were there, Adams’s eyes led him towards the direction of a girl. Fortunately for Adams, he was not the only one whose eyes wandered off; the girl also noticed him, and just like Abida, she was bold enough to walk up to Adams and request for his social media handle, which was 2go at that time. Adams gave it to her, and after that carol service, they got talking.

One thing led to another, and Adams found himself cheating on Agatha with this new girl, Joy.

The once ‘lover-boy’ who loved with all his heart and mind, was faithful and loyal to this one girl suddenly became someone who led two girls on in a relationship, effortlessly. He fed both Agatha and Joy with attention and just generally enjoyed the thrill that came with dating two girls at once.

The most interesting part? Adams did not feel remorseful about dating two girls at the same time. In fact, he was happily swimming in it, because deep down, Adams did not love either of them, and it was his own way of avoiding any form of emotional attachment to them.
