Season Three

Episode One…Josh

When one door closes, another one definitely opens, and for Vera, there is always more than enough energy to open a new door or begin a new chapter. After the entire drama with Henry and Nathan, and the swift breakup, Vera moved on with her life.

Vera took her mind away from Henry, the ugly rumors, and the breakup, and concentrated on travel preparations for her external exams. Because a busy mind has no time to brood over what would have been and what wasn’t, Vera rarely had time to nurse a heartbreak. For her, Henry was a phase in her life, and that chapter of her life was over.

Over the course of the preparations, Vera accompanied her father to the bank to open an account for her. Since she would be going away from home, it was better and easier to have an account which she could receive money from, but then again, most of these banks do not make it possible to complete such a task in one day, especially years ago. So, Vera and her dad were unable to finish up with the account opening, and the guy who was helping them with the whole process advised them to return the next day.

The next day, Vera went alone, because her father was too busy to go with her. When she got to the bank, the same guy from the previous day attended to her and they continued from where they stopped. While he did his job, he also engaged Vera in a light conversation. They talked and talked about random things, making the entire process easy for both of them. He introduced himself to Vera as Josh.

Knowing Vera now, we are familiar with the fact that Vera is always attracted to good-looking guys. She could not deny the fact that Josh was handsome, added to the fact that he was easy to talk to, and his vibe just matched hers. Then for a young girl like Vera, having a nice time with a good-looking guy dressed in fine suit was all she needed to be swooned. Looking back at her ex-boyfriends, none of them came close to Josh; handsome with a stable job.

Whoosh, what a catch!

Anyway, after a while, the process was completed and Vera’s account was successfully opened. It was time to go back home for Vera.

One of the things a lot of ladies and girls can relate to is meeting someone new whom you not only thought was handsome, but also good company, effortlessly, and harboring the thought of whether or not they were going to see or hear from him again. Some girls are bold enough to make a move, especially with such natural connection in just a couple of hours, while others would rather relocate to the desert than say anything. Well, Vera was the latter; she did not mention a thing to Josh, or inform him that she would like to keep close contact with him.

But then again, fate has a way of swinging things around just for one’s pleasure; as Vera readied herself to leave so that he could attend to another customer, he slipped a small note across the table to Vera.
