Season One

Episode Two…

Adams and Abida continued meeting up and spending time together which gave room for Adam’s love for her to bloom. Adams was unable to express how he truly felt for Abida being that he was very shy, as it was the first time his heart was feeling that way towards a girl.

Then, much to Adam’s relief and elation, on one of the times they were alone together, Abida revealed to Adams that she had developed feelings for him. It was like a dream come true for Adams, and his hopes that she liked him in returned were not dashed at the end of the day. This automatically made it a little easy for Adams being that Abida is older, more experienced and exposed, and so instead of waiting around for Adams to open up, she decided to take the bull by the horn. Adams did not hesitate to share his own feelings with her, and just like that, they entered into a relationship.

However, even in the relationship, Adams suffered from fear and anxiety; it was his first relationship, what if his parents found out, what would they think and how would they react? What would her own family do if they should come to the knowledge of their relationship as well? What would their mutual friends think, or how would they look at them? These anxious and dreadful thoughts continued to linger in Adams’s heart, but then again, even if he wanted to withdraw from the relationship, he just could not find himself doing so. Anyway, Adams and Abida continued their secret relationship.

They also continued to meet up by their fence at their regular evening time, and from just talking, they gravitated to holding hands, but that was all there was to it, because Adam was too shy to proceed to more intimate gestures. The only things Adams could do were singing praises of her beauty, and telling her repeatedly about how excited he was about everything going on between them. Her parents would call for her, and Abida would plead with Adam to wait for her with promises to return as soon as possible, which she would, of course.

This was the routine between Adams and Abida for months; a love so tender, pure and innocent, and a bond shared between them that seemed as though it would last for eternity.

Well, until a wedding ceremony took place in their area, and like they say, what is true love without storms and pitfalls?
