Episode 2…
Chidi remained sweetly persistent, because his love for Vera was deeply rooted, and he did not mind being in that zone, for as long as he was an occupant there, chances of eventually winning Vera’s heart were high.
While they continued in the friendship level, Vera realized that Chidi was a rather garrulous guy. He would talk for hours without getting tired or running out of what to say, and often times, it made phone calls with him exhausting for Vera. Chidi was a nice, loving and caring guy, and he had proven himself to be all these and more by sticking around for long, waiting to be accepted, but he talked too much for Vera’s comfort.
And that was probably one of the reasons Vera kept him locked in the friend-zone for so long.
Anyway, Chidi was relentless in his pursuit for Vera’s love. You know what they say about “what a man wants”; Chidi knew what he wanted, and he would go to the moon and back to ensure that he got it. When Vera realized that Chidi wasn’t going anywhere soon, and he had remained consistent in his display of love, care and attention, Vera eventually gave in.
Imagine Chidi’s joy when the love of his life said yes to him after a long time of toasting and talking and wooing and loving and caring. This goes to say that the people who said “never give up” knew about a guy called Chidi.
Contrary to a lot of guys who after successfully getting the “yes” response pull back on their love and attention, Chidi remained effortlessly consistent. He was always calling, showing love and care, and he mingled with her siblings without even forcing the vibe. As for Vera, she felt that his chattiness was something that could be managed. Mind you, Vera was not head-over-heels in love with Chidi, but like the popular saying “better to be with the man who loves you more than being with the one you love more” goes, it was a reasonable match. This is not to say that Vera does not love Chidi at all; he just did not give her as much butterflies as a girl would like, despite his efforts to secure her love.
Things were going smoothly for Vera and Chidi until Vera visited Chidi at his house…

Great story…While i would like to commend Chiddi for his steadfastness, i would also want to add that whenever a person likes something, if he/she sticks to the pursuit of getting that thing, he/she will definitely get it, it might only take long, but that thing go surely enter hand one day.
